Bruce Hammatt, Governor of LAMISSTENN, was our guest today at the Lafayette Petroleum Club.
Biography:
- retired after over 30 years of service in the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality, served as Assistant Secretary with over 350 employees
- a member of the Kiwanis Club of Baton Rouge for nearly 30 years.
- served as Club President
- member of E-LAMISSTENN Club
- Served as President of Kiwanis Club of Baton Rouge Foundation
- Club Board member on several occasions; chaired several Committees
- Lieutenant Governor for two years 2012-2014
- Serves as a LAMISSTENN Club Counselor
- Received the Ralph L.W. Schmidt Outstanding Kiwanian Award
- Received Certificate of Appreciation for Major Gift from the Kiwanis International Foundation for saving over 13,000 lives helping the Eliminate Project
- River of Life Fellow
- Currently serving as the Vice President on the Kiwanis Family House Board of Directors
- Married for 46 years to his best friend and fishing partner, Joy. They have two wonderful sons and five grandchildren. (Yes, they all enjoy fishing!)
