The Kiwanis Club of Lafayette was founded in 1944. Guided by the 6 Permanent Objects of Kiwanis International, we have been active in our community serving the youth in our area by supporting many of the youth organizations in Acadiana for over 60 years.

We sponsor 2 Key Clubs (Comeaux High School & Lafayette High School), 1 Circle K Club (University of Louisiana) and a Builder's Club (Paul Breux). Youth members in these clubs share the same motivations as those of in Kiwanis - serving others in the community, especially children.

The Kiwanis Club of Lafayette meets each Tuesday for lunch from noon until 1:00 pm at the Petroleum Club. We have a guest speaker each week, as the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette is committed to providing opportunities to keep its members current on topics of local, regional and statewide interests. Presenters are invited to address the membership on a wide spectrum of topics, including but not limited to: economics, education, technology, healthcare, environment, infrastructure and more.
