In about one week, our Kiwanis Spelling Champion Damien Handy will take the stage to compete in the 86th Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee. Kiwanis Spelling Champion Heads to Washington

Congratulations to the winner of the 2013 Kiwanis Regional Spelling Bee, Damien Handy of Scott Middle School (center), who leaves Sunday to represent Acadiana at the National Spelling Bee. Damien appeared on Good Morning Acadiana this morning and participated in a live bee against Tracy Wirtz and Dave Baker – a great time was had by all. One Special Day of Kiwanis Service
